Unitatea 2 de la Cernavodă ar putea fi oprită controlat în dimineața de 13 august, anunță Nuclearelectrica – Aleph News
Nuclearelectrica announced that Unit 2 of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant may undergo a controlled shutdown due to low Danube water levels. The shutdown is expected to occur on August 13, 2026, as the river's level has reached a critical threshold. The Ministry of Energy is discussing the situation at a European level, emphasizing the need for continued dredging operations. The first reactor was already shut down two weeks ago, and both reactors' shutdown would result in a significant loss of Romania's energy production.
