Ungaria transformă apa din fermele piscicole într-o armă împotriva secetei. Rezerva uriașă pe care vrea să o folosească
Hungary is transforming fish farms into strategic water reserves to combat drought, redirecting water to wetlands and agricultural areas. The MA-HAL organization collaborates with the national water authority to expand this initiative nationally. Fish ponds can collectively store nearly 300 million cubic meters of water, which is crucial for wildlife during dry periods. The program follows severe droughts affecting Hungary and aims to retain more water naturally. Prime Minister Peter Magyar acknowledged the need for earlier action in water management, highlighting the relevance of this model for other European countries facing similar challenges.
