Ungaria: Lucrări de inginerie pentru ridicarea nivelului Dunării, în apropierea centralei nucleare de la Paks

Hungary has initiated engineering works to raise the Danube's water level near the Paks nuclear plant to ensure its operation amid declining water levels. Prime Minister Peter Magyar emphasized the need for immediate measures due to a forecasted drop in the river's flow, which previously led to the shutdown of three reactors. Construction of a dam on the riverbed and the sinking of two barges are underway to redirect more water to the plant's cooling system. This project is expected to take about a month and cost approximately 16.5 million euros.
