Ungaria: Centrala nucleară de la Paks revine, gradual, în funcțiune

The Paks nuclear power plant in Hungary is gradually returning to capacity, currently operating at half its nominal power after reconnecting seven of its eight turbines. Prime Minister Peter Magyar confirmed that production is expected to reach maximum capacity of 2,000 MW soon. The plant had previously faced operational challenges due to low water levels in the Danube caused by drought. To mitigate this, the government initiated works to increase water levels and ensure the plant's operation. Paks, built 44 years ago with Soviet technology, has never been fully disconnected.
