Hungarian authorities have launched a criminal investigation into alleged abuses at Eximbank, focusing on corruption linked to the previous administration. The police are examining four cases involving the bank, including a controversial €1 billion loan to North Macedonia. Internal documents have been seized to support the investigation, which is part of Prime Minister Peter Magyar's efforts to address corruption. Magyar claims the loan was misused to benefit politically connected companies. Another case involves a significant infrastructure project in Africa backed by Eximbank.
