Undă verde: Statul poate cumpăra gaze din Neptun Deep de la OMV Petrom

The Romanian Chamber of Deputies approved a law allowing the National Administration of State Reserves to secure a budget for purchasing 49.9 TWh of natural gas from the Neptun Deep offshore area. The law enables the administration to include necessary budget commitments and enter into multi-year contracts. The gas offer from OMV Petrom is priced at 48.752 euros/MWh, totaling approximately 2.43 billion euros over seven years. This price exceeds the regulated rate for domestic producers but aligns with future market estimates. The law implements provisions granting the Romanian state preemptive rights over offshore gas sales.
