Undă verde pentru judecarea Dianei Șoșoacă, în dosarul în care e acuzată de sechestrarea și lovirea jurnalistei din Italia

The High Court of Cassation and Justice has approved the trial of MEP Diana Șoșoacă, accused of illegally detaining an Italian journalist. The court dismissed her requests and confirmed the legality of the prosecution's evidence. Șoșoacă faces four charges of illegal deprivation of liberty after allegedly holding the journalist in her office during an interview in December 2021. Her ex-husband, Silvestru Șoșoacă, is also charged with similar offenses and assaulting a police officer. The case stems from an incident where the journalist was allegedly locked in the office due to disagreements over interview questions. The European Parliament lifted her immunity for this case, while other accusations related to propaganda are being investigated separately.
