The 26.35 kilometers stretch of the Transylvania Highway between Suplacu de Barcău and Chiribiș may open in November, after 22 years of construction involving four contractors. The initial contractor, Erbașu, showed good mobilization but faced delays in critical areas. Pro Infrastructură reports that the opening is likely to occur in November, with another section, Zimbor-Nădășelu, potentially opening in December. This project has been ongoing since 2004, with the first excavation done by Bechtel.
