A new high-speed train service on the Bucharest-Iași route is expected to launch by the end of October, according to Club Feroviar. The operator, Ferotrafic TFI, is finalizing registration procedures for the service, which will cover the 406 km distance in approximately five and a half hours. The company has received authorization for operation and plans to use five new trains purchased from Israel. The new service will include several scheduled routes, significantly reducing travel time compared to the current fastest service. Additionally, plans for metropolitan train services in both Bucharest and Iași are underway, aiming to enhance regional connectivity.
