Un telefon care suna într-un colet a dat de gol una dintre cele mai mari rețele de trafic de telefoane

A stolen phone led British police to uncover a network trafficking up to 40,000 stolen phones to China between 2024 and 2025. The investigation began when a victim located their stolen phone in a sealed package at a depot near Heathrow Airport. Police found over 800 stolen phones ready for shipment to Hong Kong. Operation Echosteep was launched, resulting in the arrest of Amir Muhammad Khadikhel and Ismat Miakhel, who were linked to a sophisticated criminal organization. They were sentenced to significant prison terms for their roles in the operation, which involved recruiting minors to steal phones. The Metropolitan Police has made multiple arrests and recovered thousands of stolen devices, returning many to their rightful owners.
