Un studiu arată o legătură surprinzătoare între căderea părului și medicamente de slăbit și diabet

Popular weight loss and diabetes medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro may cause hair loss, according to a new study. Researchers found a 37% higher risk of hair thinning in patients using GLP-1 medications compared to those on SGLT-2 inhibitors, and a 68% increase compared to DPP-4 inhibitors. However, the overall likelihood of hair loss remains low, affecting three to nine out of 1,000 individuals annually. The study suggests that hair loss is non-scarring, allowing for potential regrowth once conditions stabilize. While causation wasn't established, rapid weight loss and hormonal changes may contribute to this side effect.
