Un sit preistoric excepțional, descoperit la câteva sute de kilometri de România: este mai vechi decât Stonehenge
Archaeologists in the Czech Republic have uncovered a 6,500-year-old circular structure believed to have served as a ritual center and astronomical observation site, predating Stonehenge by a millennium. Located in Chleby, the site features a circular ditch with a diameter of 230 meters and 12 entrances. The structure's orientation allowed for the observation of significant solar and lunar events. The discovery is exceptional due to the lack of similar circular enclosures in the region during that period. Subsequent research indicates that the site's ritual function changed over time, with later burials from the Bronze Age and a settlement built over the original sanctuary. Ongoing studies aim to analyze soil for chemical traces left by past users.
