Despite this, many lack a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity and the impact of AI on threats. The Eset SMB Cyber Readiness Index indicates that while SMEs are concerned about AI-based malware, phishing remains the most common cyber threat. Organizations with cyber insurance report higher confidence levels, and those with previous security incidents also show increased assurance in managing such situations. However, many SMEs struggle to fully grasp advanced security technologies and their potential benefits.
