A Libyan presidential council member is suing Romania's Border Police after being banned from the EU for 15 years due to alleged ISIS ties. Aymen Ramadan Abouelgasem Albelazi's name was added to the Schengen Information System following Romanian intelligence reports. Despite being linked to ISIS, he previously entered Italy in 2021 as part of an official delegation. In 2025, he attempted to return to Europe for medical treatment but was denied entry. He is now seeking legal representation to challenge the ban, but the Romanian intelligence agency has not provided requested information regarding his alleged connections to terrorism.
