Un pensionar cu 14 ani munciți ia pensie zero lei. O persoană care nu a muncit deloc câștigă 500 lei • Newsweek România
In Romania, individuals who reach retirement age without a minimum contribution period of 15 years receive no pension, despite having worked for 14 years. The only support available is the minimum inclusion income, which is also accessible to those who have never worked. Pensioners have seen a significant decrease in their purchasing power due to stagnant pensions and rising living costs. The average pension has barely increased, while inflation continues to affect essential goods. The minimum guaranteed pension is 1,281 lei, but those with less than 15 years of work cannot receive it. The minimum inclusion income program assists vulnerable individuals, providing up to 504 lei for those over 65 without any income.
