Un pas neașteptat către producerea și stocarea energiei. Materialele care ar putea schimba tehnologiile actuale
Researchers at the University of Warwick have discovered previously unknown materials that could enhance clean energy production and storage. These materials show promise for battery development and hydrogen production using solar energy. The study focuses on intermediate phases during chemical transformations, which are often overlooked. One significant finding is a new form of bismuth vanadate (BiVO4), which has a unique atomic structure and interacts differently with light, potentially improving solar fuel production and catalysis. Another identified material can store large amounts of lithium, indicating its potential for next-generation batteries. Understanding these intermediate materials may lead to better designs for energy technologies, although practical applications are still in research stages.
