This significant find includes multiple mass graves, with initial discoveries leading to a total of nine graves. The remains predominantly belong to young men aged 15 to 25, and while the cause of death is unclear, some evidence suggests they may have died in military hospitals. The site is notable for its historical context, as Braunau is known as Hitler's birthplace, although the findings are unrelated to Nazism.
