Un ONG norvegian refuză condiţiile pentru a primi în continuare finanțare americană şi va concedia circa 1.700 de angajați la nivel mondial

Norsk Folkehjelp, a Norwegian NGO, has decided to forgo U.S. funding due to unacceptable new conditions, leading to the loss of around 1,700 jobs globally. The organization, which specializes in demining, opposes U.S. restrictions on advocating for abortion, gender equality, and diversity. The U.S. funding accounts for 40% of its demining operations, and the withdrawal will result in a significant financial loss of approximately 37 million euros annually. The NGO's secretary general emphasized the importance of equality and diversity as core values, rejecting compliance with the imposed conditions.
