Un nou val de căldură peste România: 39 de grade ziua și nopți tropicale

A new heatwave is affecting most of Romania, with temperatures reaching up to 39 degrees Celsius. The National Meteorological Administration has issued yellow and orange heat warnings. From August 20 to 24, 2026, high temperatures will prevail, especially in the west and southwest. Tropical nights with minimum temperatures between 20 and 26 degrees are expected. Yellow warnings are in place for Moldova, Maramureș, and Muntenia, while orange warnings apply to Banat and Oltenia, where temperatures will exceed 35 degrees. This is the latest heatwave following previous extreme temperatures this summer.
