Cristian Pistol, director of CNAIR, announced that section 4 of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway is nearing completion, with physical work at 97%. If the Austrian contractor maintains its pace, traffic may open this year ahead of the February 2027 deadline. The Momaia tunnel is nearly finished, with mechanical and electrical installations being set up. Additionally, work continues on operational buildings for the tunnel. The contract value is 1.678 billion lei, funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027. Progress is also noted on the Sibiu-Făgăraș Highway, with experimental asphalting underway.
