Romania is projected to produce 23.6 million tons of cereals this year, surpassing Spain's 21.3 million tons. This would place Romania fourth among EU countries, following France, Germany, and Poland. Despite a decrease from last year's production, Romania's output is expected to be the lowest decline among major European grain producers. Overall, EU cereal production is estimated at 262.7 million tons, down 9.4% from last year. Romania's wheat, barley, and corn production are all expected to increase compared to last year.
