The first phase of the Vifor wind farm in Buzău, with a capacity of 192 MW, will be officially inaugurated next month. This project is significant for Romania's energy transition and is currently in the testing phase, nearing commercial operation. The first phase includes 30 high-capacity turbines and aims to generate enough clean energy for over 270,000 homes while reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 540,000 tons annually. The second phase, under construction, will increase the total capacity to 461 MW by mid-2027. Financing for this phase involves several major banks, and future energy production has already been contracted with various companies, including a significant agreement with Bekaert.
