Residents in northern Tulcea County received a RO-Alert message after a radar detected an aerial target near the Ukrainian border. Two F-16 aircraft were deployed for monitoring. The target was active for about 20 minutes over Romanian territorial waters before entering Ukrainian airspace, where it was shot down. Debris fell near Periprava, with no reported casualties or damages. The alert was lifted at 16:05, and authorities advised residents to take safety precautions due to the potential for falling objects. This was not the first alert issued that day, as another was sent earlier in the morning regarding a similar situation.
