A new earthquake occurred this morning in the Vrancea seismic zone, marking the sixth quake in Romania within 24 hours. The 3.3 magnitude quake struck at 9:54 AM at a depth of 30 kilometers, near several cities. Since Monday morning, six earthquakes have been recorded in Vrancea, with the strongest being 3.4 magnitude. In total, ten earthquakes have occurred in Romania this August, ranging from 3 to 4.5 on the Richter scale. The most significant quake this year was a 4.5 magnitude event on February 26 in Vrancea.
