A landslide in Nepal has resulted in at least 24 fatalities and 14 missing persons after heavy rains caused a mountain slope to collapse. The incident occurred near the Kali Gandaki River, destroying homes and infrastructure, and forcing around 1,500 people to evacuate. This disaster follows catastrophic flooding that previously claimed 1,386 lives. Additionally, an avalanche at Himlung Himal base camp has left four dead and ten missing, burying climbers and support staff.
