„Un moment istoric” pentru infrastructura din România: primul tunel forat de autostradă este gata

The construction of Section 4 of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway, including the Curtea de Argeș tunnel, has been completed, with traffic expected to open in October. This marks a significant milestone for Romania's road infrastructure, as the tunnel is the first bored tunnel on a highway in the country. The project faced challenging terrain and included numerous bridges and passages. It was finished six months ahead of schedule, and the next steps involve testing and final approvals for the mountainous sections of the highway. The project aims to enhance connectivity between historical provinces by the end of the decade.
