Kaufland is testing a new parking subscription service at its Colentina store in Bucharest, addressing the parking shortage in the area. Customers can purchase various subscription plans for guaranteed parking access, with prices ranging from 400 lei for one month to 3,600 lei for a year. This initiative is among the few in Romania where supermarkets monetize parking through long-term subscriptions, providing a solution for both shoppers and local residents. Currently, the service is only available at the Colentina location, with no plans for expansion yet.
