Un mare producător de încălțăminte din Europa închide ultima fabrică de pe continent. A fost și în România • Newsweek România

A major European shoe manufacturer, Bata, is closing its last factory on the continent due to unprofitability. The factory in Dolní Němčí, established in 1970, will cease operations in 2025, affecting 92 employees. Despite this closure, Bata will continue to operate in the Czech market through sales networks. The company is shifting production to Asia, Latin America, and Africa, reflecting broader industry changes. Founded in 1894, Bata has evolved from a local business to a global brand, now focusing on commerce and brand management in Europe.
