A batch of rabies vaccine delivered to Romania was declared non-compliant due to temperature violations during transport. The Romanian National Agency for Medicines has quarantined the batch, likely leading to its destruction. To ensure treatment continuity, emergency approval for importing a replacement batch was granted, with 18,600 doses of VERORAB expected from France next week. This quantity will meet the hospitals' needs until the next delivery. Hospitals can redistribute available doses in the meantime.
