H&M is shifting its global strategy, planning to close around 170 stores by 2026 while opening only 90 new ones. However, Romania is not affected by these changes, as the company will neither close nor open new stores there. Instead, H&M will renovate two existing stores in Romania this autumn. The focus is on modernizing current locations and enhancing online sales. Globally, H&M continues to invest in physical stores and online sales, with plans to enter new markets like Paraguay, Malta, Azerbaijan, and Argentina in the coming years.
