„Un impuls puternic pentru dezvoltarea cooperării”: Rusia și Coreea de Nord inaugurează primul pod rutier dintre cele două țări
Russia and North Korea have inaugurated their first road bridge over the Tumen River, enhancing their strategic partnership. The new bridge, located near the historic Friendship Bridge, adds a land route for transport between Moscow and Pyongyang, which previously had only air and rail connections. The bridge spans 850 meters and connects to Russia's highway system. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin emphasized that this infrastructure expansion will boost cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology, and culture. The project was discussed for years and construction began in April 2022, following an agreement during President Putin's visit to North Korea in 2024. The partnership has deepened, with North Korea supplying ammunition and military support to Russia amid the Ukraine conflict.
