This summer, 15 students from the Medical Engineering Faculty at the Politehnica University of Bucharest completed an internship at Philips Romania, gaining hands-on experience with advanced medical equipment. Over three months, they collaborated with Philips' service engineers, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application. The program aimed to help students understand the workings of a medical technology company and develop professional skills. Many students extended their internships, recognizing the value of real-world experience. The ongoing partnership between Philips and the university addresses the shortage of specialized engineers in Romania's healthcare system, emphasizing the importance of practical training in education.
