Un gigant european al bateriilor a intrat oficial în insolvență. 2.300 de locuri de muncă sunt în joc • Newsweek România
German battery giant Varta has officially entered insolvency, affecting around 2,300 jobs across four companies. The Stuttgart court initiated proceedings on October 1, as the company seeks investors to stabilize operations. Despite the insolvency, there is ongoing interest in Varta's technological capabilities. A structured sales process is underway, with a resolution expected in the coming months. However, production at VARTA Microbattery in Nördlingen will cease due to the loss of its main client, Apple, resulting in 350 job losses. The consumer battery division remains unaffected by the insolvency proceedings.
