An American technology giant, TTM Technologies, is set to acquire a Bucharest factory producing high-performance optical components for approximately 650 million euros. The deal, involving MKS Instruments' Ophir Optics division, is expected to finalize by mid-2027. The factory currently employs over 180 workers, with plans to increase staff by 50% due to rising production demands in defense and security sectors. The facility has recently moved to a larger space of 6,500 square meters, enhancing its production capabilities. TTM Technologies, a leading printed circuit board manufacturer, reported significant revenue growth in 2025.
