Un fragment vechi de 1.700 de ani din „Odiseea” lui Homer, descoperit într-o bibliotecă olandeză

A researcher discovered a fragment of Homer's "Odyssey" dating back to around 300 AD in a Dutch library. The piece, measuring approximately 6.6 by 7.7 centimeters, contains verses from Book 12, detailing the consequences of Odysseus's crew eating the sacred cattle of the sun god Helios. This find is significant as it is one of only about 30 similar fragments ever found. The researcher, Mark de Kreij, noted that the fragment likely survived due to its placement within a pocket edition of the text. This discovery follows another recent find of "Iliad" fragments in Egypt, highlighting ongoing interest in ancient Greek literature.
