He scored in the 55th minute, equalizing the match, but his celebration with a corner flag gesture led to a yellow card from referee Gheorghi Kabakov. Having received a previous yellow card, he was subsequently dismissed. Abu Farchi claimed he was mimicking a billiard shot, but the referee interpreted it as unsportsmanlike behavior. Austria went on to win the match 3-1, with goals from Romano Schmid, Phillipp Mwene, and Sasa Kalajdzic.
