Un europarlamentar AUR avertizează: în Spania te poţi trezi cu casa ocupată de străini. "Squattingul" ia amploare

Georgiana Teodorescu, an AUR MEP, discussed the demographic crisis and housing access issues for youth in Europe during the "Be EU" show. She highlighted the high housing prices in countries like Portugal and the Netherlands, where costs start at €3,500 per square meter. Teodorescu criticized extreme solutions in Spain, where illegal occupation of homes is tolerated, allowing squatters to stay indefinitely. She explained that property owners are forced to pay utility bills even if their homes are occupied. Unlike Spain, Romania has strict laws against illegal occupation, treating it as a crime and allowing property owners to evict squatters legally.
