Un elev din Iași, cel mai bun la Balcaniada de Informatică. Andrei Nemțișor a luat aurul absolut și a ajuns la șase medalii internaționale
Andrei Nemțișor, a ninth-grade student from Iași, won the absolute gold medal at the 2026 Balkan Olympiad in Informatics for Juniors in Sarajevo. This achievement marks his sixth international medal and fourth gold. The competition, held from September 22-28, featured 55 participants from 13 countries, with Romania finishing first in the national ranking, earning three golds and one bronze. Andrei described the challenges of the competition and expressed gratitude to his teachers for their support. He also noted that this event concludes his junior competition journey, as he looks forward to senior-level challenges. Other Romanian winners included Traian Danciu and Vlad Bondoc, both gold medalists, and Vlad Ioan Muntoiu, who won bronze. The Romanian team was led by Professor Eugen Nodea and student Ioan-Cristian Pop.
