Romanian student Alexandru Burileanu won a gold medal at the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, competing against over 400 high school students from 100 countries. At just 18, he aims to study AI abroad and return to Romania. His journey began with experiments at age 11, and he excelled in solving complex problems under pressure during the competition in Astana. Burileanu believes AI can optimize tasks but should not replace human thinking. He prepared for the Olympiad through university courses and online resources, reflecting the advanced learning environment at his school, Colegiul Național "Mircea cel Bătrân."
