A total of 126 students were left unassigned after the first stage of high school admissions in 2026, with the highest average being 8.82. The top unassigned student, from the International Theoretical High School of Informatics in Bucharest, scored 8.45 in Romanian and 9.20 in Mathematics. The Ministry of Education noted that insufficient options or incorrect codes can lead to unassignment. Students can participate in the second admission stage, with remaining places announced on July 31 and registration from August 10-12.
