He contested a two-month suspension of visitation rights imposed by the prison authorities. The incident occurred on May 23, 2026, when the inmate extinguished half of a cigar in a can and discarded it in a cardboard box, which subsequently ignited. Prison officers responded to the smoke and managed to safely evacuate the inmates before extinguishing the fire. The Aiud Court upheld the disciplinary sanction against the inmate, making the decision final.
