The Municipal Cemetery of Brașov is undergoing significant renovations in the area designated for unidentified or unclaimed individuals, inspired by American cemetery designs. This section, accommodating around 1,000 burial sites, aims to create a neat and solemn appearance. Each year, the municipality buries 20 to 30 unclaimed bodies from the Institute of Legal Medicine. Current works include leveling the ground and laying down uniform grass, along with installing rectangular gravestones similar to those seen in American films. The cemetery management assures that burial space will not run out, as plots are periodically reused according to legal regulations.
