A Russian citizen was sentenced to 13 years in prison for high treason due to donations made to a Ukrainian organization. The man, aged 34, was arrested at an airport while visiting his mother and had previously lived in Ukraine. He made 11 small money transfers, each around 100 hryvnias. Despite suffering from epilepsy, the court did not consider this as a mitigating factor. Many Russians have faced severe penalties for similar donations since the war began in 2022.
