Japan has successfully engaged 1,800 participants in a collective effort to move the main tower of Hirosaki Castle back to its original location. This operation, part of a restoration project, involved using traditional techniques and attracted significant public interest. The castle, completed in 1611, is a historical site that draws millions of visitors annually, especially during cherry blossom season. Following the tower's relocation, further conservation work will commence, with public access expected to resume in 2033.
