Counter-terrorism officers in London arrested a man and a woman suspected of assisting Iran's foreign intelligence service. The arrests occurred after searches of their properties on June 24. Following their detention under the National Security Act, a further search was conducted on September 9. The police confirmed that the investigation is unrelated to recent incidents involving Iranian and Jewish community sites. Both individuals have been released on conditional bail until October. Commander Helen Flanagan emphasized that there is no imminent threat to the public and urged vigilance regarding national security.
