Paweł Mej, known as "Bosy Biegacz," collected these items over several months, using his bicycle to gather them from local areas. He spent about ten hours on September 17 returning 11,218 containers, with the funds raised intended for local projects, including sports equipment for a primary school and donations to a volunteer fire department. Mej received approximately 1,300 euros for his efforts and plans to continue his collection campaign for a fire truck.
