A fugitive from Bihor, Hegedus Ladislau, was arrested in Oradea after two years on the run for stealing pistachios. He was sentenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison for the theft, which occurred in 2020. Despite the low value of the stolen goods, his criminal history and the timing of the offense led to a severe sentence. Hegedus had been evading authorities until his recent capture.
