Un bărbat a găsit la un depozit de reciclare un ornament „din beton” care s-a dovedit a fi o sculptură extrem de valoroasă
A marble sculpture bought for £300 may fetch up to £100,000 at auction after being identified as a work by renowned Italian sculptor Pietro Bracci. The 290-year-old piece depicts Pope Clement XII and was found in a recycling center in Wiltshire, UK. Initially mistaken for concrete, the sculpture is believed to be the only surviving model for a bronze statue that once stood in Rome. Despite its weathered condition, the piece has attracted significant international interest ahead of the auction, with an initial estimate of £10,000. The seller, who remains anonymous, recognized its potential value after purchasing it. The auction is set for October 8.
