A 5-year-old boy, Theo, who spent his entire life in hospitals due to a severe gastrointestinal condition, has finally been discharged. His parents, Gary and Sarah Chatham, faced numerous health challenges with Theo, including epilepsy and brain injuries. After over 200 medical procedures, including life-saving surgeries, they were shocked to learn he could finally go home after 1,909 days. Despite previous hopes being dashed, the family is now adjusting to life outside the hospital, although Theo will continue to require close medical supervision.
