The Ecuadorian anacondas are generally longer than their Brazilian counterparts, with the largest female measuring 6.3 meters. Researchers also examined the impact of pollution from the oil industry on these snakes, finding that male anacondas accumulate more heavy metals than females due to their diet. The southern green anaconda is particularly vulnerable due to its limited range.
